5 Hairstyling Tips for Awesome Passport Photos
How many of you are satisfied with the results of your identity photo, one of which is a passport photo? The most common complaint we hear is the result of photos that are rigid and without character.
Frontal photo taking can give the impression of flatness or make the face look wider than the original, not to mention the lighting in a modest immigration office. You also cannot choose a reliable face angle because the goal is to show all parts of the face clearly from the front side.
In accordance with applicable regulations, there are some things that are prohibited when taking a passport photo, namely:
Shorts
T-shirt or sleeveless shirt
Shirt without collar
Colored glasses and contact lenses
Hat
Excessive accessories or jewelry
Hijab with veil (niqab)
In essence, a passport photo must be in formal and neat clothes and show a clear face. So as much as possible the hair style that you choose must also comply with applicable regulations so that all processes run smoothly.
Forget beach waves hairstyles with framing layers that cover most areas of the face. Immigration officials might not be able to recognize your face clearly.
Don't worry, here are some ways you can try to make your appearance not look stiff when taking photos.
1. Choose the Right Hair Style.
In written regulations, each rescuer must take a photo with the face area clearly visible. The safest is to choose a hair style that also shows the ears. Even if you don't feel comfortable with slipping bangs or hair behind your ears, you can also twist or braid your hair so that it doesn't cover the face area.
Some alternatives that can be tried are French braid hairstyles, variations of twist styles, or chignon bun to complement the formal dress of your choice.
2. Add Volume.
According to Winda, hairstylist for All Things Hair Asia, there are many variations of styles that you can try on short hair. Pixie cut style, for example, can be arranged back (slick back) or blow to make it more volume.
To produce a hair style like this, you can use TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray. This hair spray is our favorite because it can make the hairdo last longer but without the ‘after taste kaku which is stiff or sticky.
3. Trim bangs.
We know you love your bangs. But unfortunately your bangs can't be invited to take pictures together this time. Your eyebrows and hairline should be clearly visible.
One way is to set the bangs to the side to produce a sleek style. In addition to wearing hair gel, you can also use bobby pins or braid it in a headband braid or half crown braid style.
4. Change Hair Cleavage When Will Passport Photos.
Hair that is limp and flat will certainly look unattractive on the camera. In addition to teasing, you can change your parting hair in the opposite direction from usual.
To help increase volume, use a shampoo with a volumizing effect such as Dove Volume Nourishment. This shampoo can 'lift' your hair and make it look volume and not flat without making it feel dry. Continue to use Dove Volume Nourishment Conditioner regularly.
5. Trim Kids Hair.
Children's hair on the front and some parts of the hair that comes out (flyways) can make your hair look messy. To 'tame it', try to iron your hair with a flat iron before you leave for a passport photo.
Make sure you use TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray so that the hair does not get damaged quickly due to exposure to the heat of the vise. Check out tips for using heat protection spray so that the protection you get is more leverage.
